RIP... key broke off my fob.

Post by phatdoughnut » Mon Feb 01, 2021 11:23 pm

Damn it man! Key broke off trying to open my panniers. Not sure what the hell happened cause it didn’t seem like I was twisting that hard. New fob is 300 a regular key looks like it’s 120ish... I’ll use my race on key for a while but don’t want that to bust off also. Fml maybe I’ll just get a tiny pair of vice grips on the busted off piece for the time being. Just need it for the bags and seat.

This has been a fear of mine doing myself. They don't seem to be very strong. Warranty? Maybe check with KTM anyway to go good for.

I ended up finding a vendor online that had regular ktm blanks and he cut it according to my code. Works great, bought an extra as I dont really want to be using my ready to race key on the paniers.
