Re: Givi Trekker TRK52N
I've been running one for a year now for my daily commute. Define "too large". By itself, I think it looks a bit goofy. People who say they see me on the bike, don't even notice the box behind me. It does hold a lot of stuff, which is awesome. It'll fit two full face helmets. For my daily commute, I have my bike cover and loaded backpack in the box. When I get to work, that stuff comes out and my size 46 one piece Aerostich road crafter fits in there. Or, if I'm riding with my mesh jacket, I can fit my helmet and my jacket/gloves/rain suit all in the box, which is awesome. Save the $200 on the givi mount and get the SW Mototech $20 mount kit and bolt it to the stock luggage rack. You'll need longer bolts for the pins due to the thicker luggage rack and some rubber bumpers to keep the box from wiggling or rattling.

Still think it looks better than:

Re: Givi Trekker TRK52N
I've ordered the 52 liter Trekker aswell, and chose for the same mounting option; straight on the base plate
I'll post pics as soon as it's mounted!

Re: Givi Trekker TRK52N
As promised!
The mounting didn't take too long, just had to measure the placement properly, then it fitted fine.
I did have to raise the two stands with two washers in order to make a proper fit, the back of the case was hitting the small elevation of the the pillion grips. It's not how i'd like it just yet, but i'm still improving

And fully cased up:
