Just bought some Nelson-Rigg Spirit 50 Saddle Bags and took them on a
weekend trip away. So far so good. See attached pics...

This is the only way I could add attachments, apparently some kind of quota is full.

Are they just straps under the seat or are they using the exhaust mount points for the standard bags?

They have two velcro adjustable straps that sit under the seat.....

Do the straps rub on body plastic, etc? Did you leave the supports for the factory bags on?

The zipper on one of my factory bags let go on Friday and I'm leaning towards replacing. The factory bags are nearly unusable for much more than rain gear anyway.

The straps do rest on the plastic body of the bike, but so far haven't left any marks. The bike is completely stock so the original mounts on the heat shield are still there. The straps hook around them quite nicely. My only quibble is its a bit of a pain getting the things on and off if you're overnighting somewhere and don't what to leave them on, although with practice, I am getting better at it....

Thanks for the info, they look to be just the right size for the bike.
