KTM’s KILL the Dragon

KTM’s KILL the Dragon

Did not know if there was interest in a South East KTM Get Together. There is a great place to stay just outside of Robbinsville, NC called the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge ( http://ironhorsenc.com ). They are very Close to Deals Gap to the Tail of the Dragon ( https://tailofthedragon.com ). Presently, they have open April 13 & 14th & August 10 & 11th for a group of about a dozen folks. Might be able to get a KTM Dealer Sponsor for gifts, beer, cake, etc. if we pull in at least a dozen bikes?? Great place to stay & area to ride. Any Interest?? Best,

Doc :? :?

Maybe its the name?? How about "KTM's Slay the Dragon".

Even came up with a flyer:

McDirty,

This was all the IHML had open for a group of about a dozen folks/ riders for the Spring & Summer. Will not know IHML Fall availability until mid March. IHML has become a very popular place to stay when in NC. Personally, we really enjoy the Spruce Pine, NC area between Asheville & Boone. The Skyline Viilage Inn & Tavern is fantastic ( http://www.skylinevillageinn.com ). There, I might be able to get much better dates? Best,

Im down 5+ times a year some with large and small groups. I've found it easyest to just pick a weekend, say met for breakfast at the resort at a set time and go from there. Trying to get everyone to stay at the same place is always a headache.

That being said. In recent years i stay at rental houses/cabins 90% of the time.

I also know we have some locals on here that id love to ride with. Ive explored almost everything between Tellico Plains and Bristol TN and as far south as blood mountain and Asheville. Id love to get shown some new roads.

McDirty,

We will be at the IHML with the BMW K1600 group the first week of May 2018 ( https://www.facebook.com/K1600DG/ ). Please feel free to join in with the group ( http://www.k1600forum.com/forum/southea ... 018-a.html ). I will be bringing my 2017 KTM SDGT with me. The Spirited group is lead by Kevin (AKA: FLASH/ qbird66) who lives in Johnson City, TN. We hit some great routes. Best,

Doc :D :D
