hardright wrote:Hi Kev, nice mod. What is the difference between the SPAL 62A and 62S? Would like to do the same mod on my bike.
I assume that the
62A model is Aspirante (suction) type
62S model is Soffiante (blowing) type.

@cavlovic
Probably are the filters, but...
Is there any chance that any water came in your fuel tank? Did you refuel recently?
The breather hole on the fuel cap is free? When you open the fuel cap, do you hear any hissing?
Try to start the engine without the fuel cap.

Re: Conti TrailAttack 2

So far I've done some 5000 miles on them, on everything from Autobahn and gravel to rubble and dirt, in 40 degree heat and pissing rain, and they seem to be up to the task. They're probably about a third worn, maybe half (it's hard to tell by eye and I didn't measure the tread depth before I left) ...

Re: Chain touching tyre???

The chain have 112 links, 100%. BTDT

Also, you can count the links on your chain.
With a marker, mark one link and then count them all way around.

Re: Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

@Bigsimp, what exactly is your problem? You don't find any working download link or you can't save the file on your computer? If your problem is that that you can't find any working download link, try this: Tune ECU program download link: http://www.tuneecu.com/Tunes_in_Hex_and_dat/TuneECU/TuneECUv2...

Re: Repair manual

Kev sounds like you have a legitimate copy of the CD. The one I have, burnt from this iso, is not, and therefore you cannot open any of the files in the SMT folder (like 3206109-en.exe), you get a Secure Protection error -I tried in Windows 7 and XP; so it isn't possible to follow your interesting ...

Re: Some questions regarding the throttle fixes

If none of the maps make a difference then the mapping is not at fault, I would take your bike to a KTM dealer. I would also load your standard map back into the bike before seeing the dealer. Finally had some time to learn Tune ECU better today. When downloading the #14 and then trying #15 maps, I...

I got the answer from the KTM, your bike is out of warranty and the brake pads are consumable parts (period).

Catastrophic front brake failure

Yesterday I've almost hit a stopped bus because the front brakes failed, completely. When I came home, I checked the brakes an I found that some of the 8 brake pads were delaminated and others are on the same way: - 1 brake pad had only the back metal - 2 brake pads were delaminated and the braking ...
