Re: Visit to BSD performance and mapping

My bike has cans, akra map, air injection crap removed and blanking plates fitted Still is pretty aggressive _ I tried Kev`s maps but found them too tame for me - as I had got "used" to the throttle at that stage. Igot Phil McCallen to set the suspenders up for me when I got the bike and I havent to...

Re: with the SMT on the Track: Spreewaldring near Berlin

I`m stuck very much in road rider mode.

Something to work on this summer.

Impressive riding!

Re: with the SMT on the Track: Spreewaldring near Berlin

I`ve hardly any chicken strips, but I dont seem to be able to really chuck the bike down like the OP. This was me at my first ever track day in the summer. I wasnt hanging about, but managed to look slow! https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/t1/1512333_10152455225699502_1695580466_...

how much are the brackets?

I suspect much more than the lights!

can see them as a separate item on the german site ...but not the UK "partner"

It wont allow me to order the mounts on their own.

fog / driving lights

Have a cheap set of LED lights ordered from our friends in the far east ... I couldnt justify the price of the KTM ones or some of the other brand names. My plan is to fit them to the engine bars, but wondered about other options. Anyone pics of their own lights fitted and where/how they fitted them?

Re: Ive found an smt in Germany....

For crying out loud!

If someone loves the colour scheme, buy an older bike and repaint it.
ABS isnt worth that much - I have never had an issue with the brakes and I have ridden in snow and ice!

Re: Ive found an smt in Germany....

Still utterly mystified why you have to have the "current" bike.

You could get an 09/10 bike for a decent price fully loaded.
Really, the extra isnt worth it given how hard the new ones are to find.

I`d buy a new adventure rather than pay over the odds.

Live feed for heated grips, where to take from?

Going to fit some heated grips and rather than wire directly to the battery and risk leaving on when the ignition is off, wondered where is the best place to pick up a live feed?

Pics with colours of wires appreciated.

Re: Hi & SMT next?

I commute on mine, and have to say the SMT bosses like feck around town. The fueling is enthusiastic, but after trying the various bespoke maps, I stuck with the KTM akra map as I had become used to slightly edgy nature of the bike. MPG, around 40 Screen - the touring screen makes a big difference. ...

Re: bike overheated today

Living in the land of pissing rain and summers colder than most people`s winters, cant really comment on the sort of heat you guys get... but we did run in the high 80`s low 90`s for a large part of this summer . I`d echo the mapping and add remove the standard cans. My bike always ran hot, even in ...
