Re: Additional indicators/ blinkers
G'day Pk1, The supplier might just be conforming to local laws/standards by stating the oem indicators need to be disconnected. Maybe the lawmakers think too many flashing lights might confuse some car muppets  I installed similar LEDs to my Caponord's handguards. I went with the white continuo...

Re: Anybody Still Riding....
Cheers all...... nice pics...... once again I was due to throw a leg over (to ride in to get my recalls done  ) but have been struggling with another virus or weird heat/dust/whatever effect..... I'm ok but not as good as last week...... dang it, just bad timing...... oh well - re-booked for t...

Re: Front header turning red @ warmup
Thanks Recip..23, The 40t rear will be the solution for you. By the way.... how did you go with the 'red header' issue? I've been reading on the other 'KTM Forum' about fuel dongles richening the low speed mixtures etc etc, but you'd want to find the cause of your lean running (eg O2 sensor or softw...

Re: General failure on cold starting
Cheers Mick....... I was just reading a post over on the KTM Forum, and you might benefit from his suggestion. He had a problem in his first two weeks...... which was resolved by checking the battery leads at 'both ends'. This inspired me to have a look at my GT even though it doesn't have any issue...

Checked Earth Lead "both ends"
G'day all, Over on the KTM Forum, I read a post in a discussion about electrical issues/battery problems/dash blanking/etc...... and was inspired to check my battery leads - both ends! I knew my terminals were tight, but had never thought to trace the leads to the other end..... The +ve lead goes to...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
Cheers Brett, I think the Euro shops will get first priority - even though they are in winter and we are in summer, but as Germany is a huge success for the 1290 (AMCN published they have bought half of all SDGT's made), and the UK is just a train ride away, they will get delivery way faster than us...

Re: K&N Airfilter Installed
Cheers mate...... though my story is hopefully not what to expect for most..... I got the short straw and had the problem recovery, but thankfully I'm still here and just about to start riding (though today is very humid.... might chicken out and go early in the morning during the week.....). At lea...

Re: 2019 KTM SDGT Photo's are Out
Just read a post on the 'KTM forum' and the 2019 SDGT is on dealership floors in the UK now..... so they have stock but can't ride until spring, and we have sunshine here in Aus, but must wait until March for our first look
.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
 .... my oem filter looked like new at 11,300kms...... so your's is probably just ready for replacement at 30k kms. I'm booked in for the recall's on the 14th and I've splashed out on the ergo/heated seat so I'm committed to getting back on the horse..... :) Today's dealership advice was that t...

Re: K&N Airfilter Installed
I'll give you a little more advice. Don't silicone the clips in. Pull them out with a pair of plyers before you take the tank off, and you can slide them back in after the tank is back on. I've done it a few times now. Great idea..... thanks....... makes sense...... the silastic won't hold next tim...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
....... Broken wrist...... :o ....... you haven't tossed one of your bikes down the road have you :?: Anyway, good to hear your Gt is back and the wrist is healed. I've just installed the K&N airfilter that I was intending to fit last January (when I thought I'd have 15k kms up). Used a procedure fr...

K&N Airfilter Installed
 ..... at long last, spent 3hrs in man-cave tooling on the GT...... tank off (using forum procedure - thanks guys)...... and K&N in :D . Fairly straight forward but some bits were very tight fitting and I silicon glued the tank rubbers & side clips so as to make next time easier. Good...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
 Merry Xmas snow bound one...... My local KTM dealership is open over the Xmas-NY period, so I'll have to be careful not to go buying stuff just because I've run out of bike mags to read....... The weather is surprisingly lovely - nice and cool with low humidity, someone must be looking a...

 The northerner's must be snowed in, the darksider's have heat waves...... so I'll post my latest activity (as lame as it is  )....... ran the Gt motor again, put the oem clear screen on in anticipation of some summer riding (the Poo-ig tinted tall screen blocks a lot of airflow)....... ye...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
Thanks Mark, I'll keep an eye out ...... haven't seen any GT's for a while...... but I have only been doing local kms in my Tucson. Hey, did you take a look at the new-old Katana display in the main showroom? Not bad I reckon, though it can't do what the SD does, the new Kat looks trick. Cheers mate...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...
  ..... no surprise, the comfort set is $340aus rider pad only - at least it is in stock in the KTM warehouse, but Im unable to inspect/touch/try before I buy...... and there are some comments either way, eg, very good or not very good....... so I'll stick to my oem seat pad as it is fine...

Anyone know what spare connectors under Charcoal Canister are for ?
G'day all, Just curious...... there's a wad of connectors hiding under that ugly SAS canister under the passenger seat. One would be for the passenger's heated Ergo Seat but there are 4 spade type and another plug type that I guess would be for the Security Alarm kit...... I read elsewhere that the ...

Re: Dash blanked out after stall and restart
Had another look at the 'fuse box' and there are different height fuses in the centre positions with shorter ones to the outside positions....... so unless they are loose, the step up in the centre is not an issue. My GT fired up nice (as always)...... now if I can just get my body to work as well a...
