Re: Radiator leaking possible warranty job?

Evening guys, Mine leaked, from bottom left hand rear side. Two pin prick holes, once warmed up, gave a nice little fountain. Mines an SE , 16 model, with only 3,000 miles on it, no impact damage on front. Straight forward warranty job, although the first rad arrived damaged, so had to wait for a 2n...

Re: Front brake issue

sorry for any repeat asking, but being on the edge of getting a 1290, I wondered if owl's problem was now sorted, after a few more miles?
And who was the KTM dealer that gave the good service?
Cheers,

Re: How To Balance Throttle Bodies

Hi Epic,
Balancing the bodies is done mechanically, via the linkage, so no, tune ecu will show values but not adjust them. Remember you need to connect a fuel supply and have the engine running.

Re: Fuel Gauge reading wrong

evening Guys, Sorry to bring this up again if it has been dealt with elsewhere. Looking to get a 1290 but talking to a mate he says the fuel gauge is WAY out. when full to brim trip shows 300 mile range, which would mean he had a 6 gallon(imperial) tank! Only gets about 170 to empty, yet after 100 m...

Re: Rear shock rebuild at 36K miles.

evening guys, Suspension is like an engine. If you decide after 20,000 miles to change your engine oil do you think all will be well? Suspension wears it's oil out also. I think a lot of people just ride round the problems as the bike gets worse, and then it's too late. Suspension is a moving part, ...

Re: How To Balance Throttle Bodies

Hi epic, you need vacuum gauges, to balance the bodies. Engine needs to be about 64C, about 2-3 bars from top max. on temp gauge. Don't boil the bike taking ages to do it! Connect T-piece into pipes to pressure sensors, you need to sort out propping the tank up and still having the fuel connected. i...

Hi guys, Been a lurker for the last four years, had a 950sm, got written off (not by me, I hasten to add! Hit from behind, and by another KTM, FFS!) then got a 990sm. I wanted an SMT without a fairing so basically made the sm into that. Used the info from the site to do the mods, and made the bike p...
