Re: '17 SDR Owners: What's your opinion?

I'd definitely wait for the 17. Getting the older one at this stage would be crazy in my view. The difference between the 15 & 16 is minute. But 17 is a significantly different bike. By the way, 14 & 15 also has a lean angle sensor, and both the ABS and MTS gets feedback from it. The 16 apparently h...

Re: How do you remove the oil jet

Using something sticky is the way to go. Accessing the jet is not hard though I think, at least for the 2015 superduke. Just take the front sprocket cover and there it is. Use a flat screw driver bit attached to a small hex key and unscrew the jet. Use something sticky to pull it out. Clean, dry, pu...

Never saw above 4 bars as well. I think oil temperature is a better indicator of engine temperature anyways.

Re: RE: Re: Clutch problem

Another thing I keep hearing about using is mineral oil. Why does it day DOT 4 or 5 brake fluid on the cap? Because that's what you're supposed to use. KTM stopped using mineral oil a couple of years ago and switched to dot hydrualic fluid. My SMT uses mineral oil but the Superduke uses dot 4. Don'...

Re: RE: Re: Difficulty finding neutral

I have a quick update about this issue. Still difficult with nearly 2400 miles on the clock. Did you get your clutch oil jet cleaned during the first service? Most users report that it's clogged during break in. The hole is pretty small, about 0.3mm if I'm not mistaken... It was easier to find neut...

Re: RE: Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

I put my 17 front back on today and prefer it over the 16 i did notice there's less vibes with the 17 and the shifter seems much smoother. I might try the 17t once again, but it is extremely impractical in the city. 16t enables me to better match the engine speed to the situation at hand. Even the ...

Yup. About 5700 rpm at 4th or 5th. No vibration. Strictly highway speeds. I have 16t front sprocket though.

Re: RE: Re: 3000lm LED kit working on 1290 SDR for $38!!!!

Aren't all of these LED kits using cheap Chinese LED bulbs with massive markups? I can solder, but I would rather build a jumper harness with the associated resistors than soldering into and fuckup the factory harness. And which post, you have many in here Gary? Well, one can avoid massive ma...

Re: RE: Re: 3000lm LED kit working on 1290 SDR for $38!!!!

So I've just read through this entire thread but might have missed it. Is there anyone who has been running the cyclops plug and play kit for an extended period of time and can comment on it? While I'm perfectly capable of testing out resistors and dicking around with it, even building my own jumpe...

Nice. This must be the second update. Original one ended with 5000, second one with 5100, this one with 5200.

Re: RE: Re: 1290 Suspension

What I don't understand is why KTM have a great product except for the crap suspension. I've decided to replace the front with an Andreani cartridge kit & Ohlins rear. Some people spend a fortune on exhaust systems but nothing on the most important items. I've also replaced the shit steering damper...

Re: How to: change/replace front brake fluid, Brembo

I can't really answer your question. Service manual suggests the use of a pressure bleeding system. I'm not sure how that system defeats gravity, which is the source of your problem. I reverse bled the rears and it worked great. I'm planning to do they same on the fronts as well.

Re: Do I want a SDR or SDR GT?

A proper screen should be fixed, not attached to the handlebar, otherwise speed & wind affects steering feel. How are the statistics on semi active suspension failing or causing issues? I haven't heard much problems. Honestly, RBW is a way more serious piece of electronics on the bike, and there's n...

Is that a 2014? Did you have a hose attached to the bleeder screw?
