Re: Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I used Tune ECU a couple of months ago on a stock bike, loading Kev's #15 Performance Map and it's transformed the bike. Its way smoother and Im very happy with the result. Ive got about 12 months of warrenty left, with a service due in a few months. Do you recommend loading the original map back on...

Re: Best method for wheel alignment?

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. It's a lot more involved than I was hoping, but I'll give it a good go.... Cheers.

Best method for wheel alignment?

This is my first bike with a 'chain' and had my first crack at adjusting it the other week as it had become too slack. So, I adjusted it in accordance with the manual and it now rides much smoother. However, Im not convinced the alignment is that accurate as the markers are almost impossible to read...

Re: Nelson-Rigg Spirit 50 Saddle Bags

Do the straps rub on body plastic, etc? Did you leave the supports for the factory bags on? The zipper on one of my factory bags let go on Friday and I'm leaning towards replacing. The factory bags are nearly unusable for much more than rain gear anyway. The straps do rest on the plastic body of th...

Re: Coolant Sitting On Lower Marking

Thanks for that. Do you use any particular coolant?

Looking at the manual there are two caps, one for the radiator and one for the compensating tank. Do you just top up via the compensating tank?

Coolant Sitting On Lower Marking

Im just about to hit 1,000ks on the bike so have booked it in for its first service. Whilst talking to the dealer on the phone I mentioned that the coolant is sitting on the lower marking already. He said its normal, and if I topped it up it would drop down there again, but not to worry as it just s...

Re: G'day from down under...

Thanks chaps. Loving it. Just finished my first tank of fuel, the light came on at 200km with 4l left and had an average burn of 7.2l/100k's. YIKES!! That was using 98 RON though.....this tank is on 95 RON so who knows how that'll go..... Dont care really, having way too much fun.

G'day from down under...

Just picked up my new KTM 990 SMT (2013) and wanted to say G'day! It's my second bike, first was a BMW F800ST and so far love it. Stopped off at Stanwell Tops on the south coast of Sydney with a mate which its a regular spot for bikers. Couldn't believe the interest it created...I've also had guys a...
