Re: Chain Slap/Slop

The chain runs quite loose due to the long suspension movement. Keep the revs above 4k as much as possible (it's easy  ) and it's not an issue.

Re: Front brake low speed shutter

Take the pads out and give them a good clen up including the grooves cut across them - then apply Copperslip lightly to the backs of them where the pistons make contact and you should find that all is OK again. BTW I wouldn't be using the front brakes at such low speeds. The rear makes things far mo...

Re: Wiring Oxford Heated Grips

Right side of the fairing there is a small door which un clips. There are 2 sets of wires in the loom there - one always on and the other switch. That's where to conect heated grips/satnav etc. Hope that helps P.S. it's all a bit tight in there so you may have to remove the fairing parts to get at i...

Looks like this trip is on hold until I have an operation on my knee injury. Still we have the whole year in front of us don't we.

Re: Anyone fancy an Alps/ Slovenia/ Croatia trip?

If I have to drop out of my trip I already have planned (which is starting to look likely) and you are delaying leaving for a bit then I would be very interested in coming along.
If you let me know what dates you can free up I'll see if I can rearrange around my work.

Re: Anyone fancy an Alps/ Slovenia/ Croatia trip?

Done the Pyranees a few times from coast to coast plus Picos de Europa. Stunning - you'll enjoy it all. Thanks for the hotels offer but I'm a camper at heart and know many of the campsites from Stelvio across into Croatia. Hope you enjoy the TT - always worth a visit.

Re: Anyone fancy an Alps/ Slovenia/ Croatia trip?

I could change the dates if that would help. It's only provisional at the moment - nothing booked yet. I only choose those dates as it's at the beginning of June that all the Alpine passes are back open after winter.

Hope your not just turning the key. Put a little down pressure on the cap and the key turns easily.

Re: First 12 months

Nice one! Here is one of a rideout I did at the end of March when the weather was really odd - hot one day - freezing the next. It was taken on the A4059 Hirwaun Common Road in South Wales. It leads onto the main A470 Brecon road and is a great ride - apart from the sheep :o)) http://i1195.photobuck...

Re: Topcase causes the subframe to break..!!

And How is fixed the batery support in the rear part subframe in 2011 model?
The battery tray is also a new part on the 2011 model as the mounting hole no longer exist. The new one screws through the sides.

Re: Topcase causes the subframe to break..!!

2011 model has a modified subframe - different P/No. so they are trying to resolve the problem once they know about it.

Re: Tripmaster Switch - 69011971000

I really can't see your logic with this. We all ride until the low fuel odometer comes on then look for a nearby petrol station within 25/30 miles. If your getting 150 miles before this happens inside your 5 day commute you must be within easy reach of fuel. It doesn't add up! Or your just looking f...

Re: Iphone location

I mounted it inside the Givi S850 attached to the handlebars - not ideal but it was just to try it out for emergency use. Out of choice I would mount it in the area directly behind the screen which would put it nearer line of sight. Like I said - it was just a try out.

Re: Iphone location

The Galaxy S2 works OK in my old Givi S850 bag but it's not quite as good as my old Zumo 400 which is quicker to up date and also has all the places of interest (fuel/hotels/etc.)
