Dash board version

My '17 SDR is due for a service.
I noted that my dash says it's version 00.24.

Was wondering what the latest version is? And what extras / updates does it bring. Seeing if worth asking to get this updated.

Cheers

Re: SD 990 belly pan on SD1290

I'm in the same boat.
After a belly pan that looks good.

I had a speed triple and the belly pan on those looks trick.
I'll dig up a photo later.

Re: 2018 sdr are all the issue's sorted !!!

My ‘17 has the front rotor groan when pushing around in the garage. Dealer said is normal. The rear brake squeals sometimes coming to a stop. I had the Brembo front brake master cylinder and fuel pump recalls done. Other than that...fantastic machine! Oh, and it needs a new rear tire at about 4,700...

Re: Hydro Dip tank cover

Shouldn't be an issue as the 2pac automotive clear will have the UV agents in it.

I've done a bicycle helmet a few years back and still looks great

Hydro Dip tank cover

Hi have a fairly large Hydro Dipping set-up and only just started to use it. So I decided to do the tank cover. Scotched Brited with warm soapy water, to remove any release agent. https://bwnwza.dm.files.1drv.com/y4mBGC7m-UNckRIuVOeT9N5OoI5WDuyRIQi5AUdp473AnrBUP0VC8e9TLbxxs80zrJf_e7Oyq7SUkJEcw-RhjOm...

Re: Constands CENTRAL STAND EVO or Abba SUPERBIKE

Thanks for this.
Will be checking on a stand for my SDR.
But also after a front lift, so looks like ABBA stand for me

Being in Australia I'll have to see where's the best place and cheep-ish postage.
No matter what, postage from the UK is always expensive.

I've not had the problem for at least 3-4 months simply having my mobile phone in the opposite pocket was all I did.

Re: Exhaust valve dongle

I like reading these threads, although I have A SDR, can get some good info. But I just had to say, it's lose not loose. Eg. Will the bike lose power..... I don't think loose as in not tight is correct [emoji16]. I do apologise, I read many posts on different forums and just ticks away in my head ea...

Re: 2017 Keyless issue

When I had to bike in for the brake recall, I asked about the keyless issues. The mechanics said KTM were aware of the issue but no fix. They did mention that KTM did if you have mobile phone, make sure it's not same side of your body to where the key fob is. Since making sure of this I haven't had ...

My bike is with team Moto Virginia getting the brake recall done today.
I never received a letter, but just rang them instead.

Thanks 'Striff'! I've learned somehing new today as well :-) I think I better give the plastics to a professional painter. I'm not able to make it on my own. /M Hey mate, of you follow my suggestions your should be fine . But if you can get a pro to do it at a reasonable price then I would go that ...

I have the power parts rotors on my bike.
But they came with it, so can't compare to how they are over stock.

Re: painting the front fender

Release agent is what they use in the manufacturing process. Its what prevents the mould sticking to the object it is making. Residue is left, warm soapy water does remove this, you can of course by a named product instead. Plastic primer, you don't need a 2pac plastic primer (if they make such a th...

Super Duke 1290 R Fuel Guage

Hi All, Just checking if this is normal behaviour, as I only noticed this after having the fuel pump recall, KTM Alarm and map fix for the Akro exhaust. No matter what amount of fuel I have in the tank, the fuel gauge always reads full, for probably 1/2 - 1km. After that it seems to correct itself, ...

Re: painting the front fender

Hi guys, sorry didn't read all of this but I'm a spray painter by trade. If painting plastics, that aren't already painted, you need to remove the release agent first then use a plastic primer. Warm soapy water with a scotchbrite is good for this, then rinse off. Plastic primer you can get in a spra...
