Re: Kevxtx on a 890 Duke

Been running Ti bolts for over 10 years on my bikes, I always apply copper paste to the threads & never had any problems with them. Busy working on the 9890 02 sensor controllers, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0_QFY_Pmlg Already made up my own scanner to read & clear fault codes & a adjustable fu...

Re: Expensive failure After tune ecu first attempt.

That would have caught anyone & I bet that mechanic as well for the second time, I have seen this before, was the offending resistor a 1w resistor?

I would fit a 1amp fuse on that line with the new resistor. Hope your mate can sort that ECU for you.

Re: Expensive failure After tune ecu first attempt.

Have you checked the SAS resistor is not shorted out with no resistance & continuity, which would give a direct earth to the positive wire which is not fused to the ECU, seen this a few times before.

Re: Kev's SMT modification list

I had a spare shroud & just cut a round hole it it & mounted my second fan. You need a shroud so the fan can draw the air through the radiator efficiently.

Re: 1290 Power Commander V Custom maps

I found my examples what happens to the AFR if you leave the Auto tune running all the time, the examples where removed by the shared site that closed down I have just added them back on the forum.

Re: 1290 Power Commander V Custom maps

A lot of time an money goes into developing maps, if the map is right for my region I would pay the $50.00 for a map unless you can build your own then I completely understand. If you going to run the auto tune all the time you need to run less trimmings like maybe +-5 or less, anymore than 5 the Au...

Re: 1290 Power Commander V Custom maps

I would always recommend a custom built map for a bike it you can afford it, the next best thing is a shared map, to know it that maps suites your bike you ride the bike & see how it feels if there is any area that does not feel right I would head to the Dyno or buy a data logger to log the AFR.
